Man obstructed a police constable

A 46-year-old man has appeared before court in Londonderry, accused of refusing to answer questions from a police constable.

In the dock was Patrick John McDaid, with an address on court records at Beechwood Avenue, Cityside.

He was also further charged with obstructing a police constable in the due execution of his duty.

The court was told that the offences were alleged to have been committed on Wednesday, February 17.

Following the outline of the case McDaid was released on continuing bail by the District Judge to appear in court again on May 4.
