Masked men force entry to home

Detectives are appealing for information following the aggravated burglary that occurred in the Barra Street area of Antrim at around 6am on December 26.

The three masked people forced their way into the home of the man, aged in his 20s, and assaulted him with what is believed to have been baseball bats.

The man required hospital treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Constable Montgomery said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Antrim Police Station on the non emergency number 101.”
