MEA Council’s Somme pilgrimage representatives selected
Three members of Mid and East Antrim Council will represent the borough at this year’s Somme Pilgrimage.
At a meeting of the Council’s Policy and Resources committee on Tuesday April 21, Councillor Gordon Lyons nominated a council member from each district to attend the commemorations.
These were Councillor Brian Collins, Councillor Lindsay Millar and Councillor Paul Reid. The proposal was seconded by Councillor Donna Anderson. Chief Executive of MEA Borough Council Anne Donaghy said that she had provisionally issued instructions to hold up to ten places for the following year’s pilgrimage.
