It also made staff more aware of their legal and moral responsibilities within the licensed environment of a pub or club. This was part of the Community Mobilisation Project funded by Moyle Police and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) and delivered by the Northern Health and Social Care Trust’s Community Support Project. Emma Mc Elhone, Community Support Officer in the Northern Trust said; “This course encourages the responsible sale of alcohol and equips staff with the necessary skills to refuse service to customers in a safe and legal way. It also provides staff with important information and advice on how to sell alcohol responsibly and carry out their duties safely and effectively.

Bridgeen Butler, Manager, Moyle PCSP added; “Those who took this training opportunity demonstrated a willing and responsible attitude towards their duty of care for their customers and their compliance with current liquor licensing legislation. Congratulations to all who completed the course.”
