Mum praises public transport
Kat Cassidy decided to take her son and two daughters, aged 7, 5 and 3 respectively, to the north coast by train, as they had never done it before.
The family travelled first on the 9.05am NI Railways express service from Lisburn to Great Victoria Street station, taking advantage of a £20 friends and family bus and train ticket, valid for one day for up to two adults and four children.

Then it was on to the 221 Goldline coach service to the Causeway.
“With just one stop at Ballymena we arrived at the Giants causeway at 11am,” said Kat.
“I was delighted to make a £3 saving off a family ticket at the Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre, a special Green Travel Discount when you present a valid Translink ticket.”
