New season begins at Derriaghy W.I
The President of Derriaghy Women’s Institute Marie Darrah welcomed members to the first meeting of the new season and introduced the new committee.
The speaker for the evening, Rev. Derek Kerr, gave an interesting and humorous account of his lifelong interest in the Royal Family. The birthday girls for August and September were Betty Mackinnon and Deirdre Irwin. The competition for ‘a Royal Souvenir’ was won by Deirdre Irwin.
The next meeting will take place on Friday, October 4 at 7.30pm in Derriaghy Parochial Hall. New members are very welcome.
