Officers to consider zip line purchase
At Monday night’s Leisure Committee meeting (October 7), Alderman John Blair and Cllr Robert Hill, in a rare moment of agreement, asked officers to look at whether or not it would be worthwhile buying a zip line, rather than hiring one for specific events.
They said the aerial runways had proven very popular at council-run events such as Youth Zone and the Shoreline Festival.

Hide AdIt’s understood that purchasing a zip line could cost several thousand pounds. But Alderman Blair suggested that the council could hire out the equipment to councils and other organisations for public events.
