Olympic Torch pays a visit to Dunmurry Primary School

IT was with great excitement that pupils and staff welcomed the Olympic Torch to Dunmurry Primary School. Darren McKinley, Youth and Community Worker for NI Cancer Fund for Children, visited the school and spoke to the children about his recent Torch Relay run and his work with the charity. He talked about how privileged he felt to run with the torch and the value of volunteering in the community. The children learnt about the work involved in supporting young people living with cancer and the importance of Narnia, the NICFC centre in the Mournes.

One of the highlights for the children was having the opportunity to hold the torch.
