It is unbelievable how Lurgan is ignored by NI Departments and Translink regarding Millennium Way and the cross-border railway line going through a populated town. This ‘do nothing’ approach for Lurgan while other parts of the country get a new million pound road, rail and bridge investment is grossly unfair. In the big picture what the town is asking for is a drop in the ocean. I believe the local politicians and councillors are trying their level best to lobby for this investment. However, there is a poor attitude of apathy by decision-makers outside of Lurgan to the patient people on all sides of this community. Local Resident

Simple solution to this problem is don’t stop any trains at Lurgan. All trains run through express, barriers down and back up in no time.
