Orchid Hair Studio is located on High Street, above Connor's Newsagents opposite Ground, and boasts a modern, vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere which is second to none.

Open six days a week, with late night opening on Thursdays, this award-winning studio is the brainchild of Alison Carson.

Alison is formerly of Rush Hair and Beauty, Stranocum and has nearly 10 years experience in the hairdressing industry.

Speaking to the Times, Alison explained: "After a lot of hardwork and dedication Orchid Hair Studio is finally opening and I'm really excited.

"Our aim here is to offer our clients a relaxing environment where they can come, have a chat and be pampered without it breaking the bank.

"We offer a very competitive price list as well as catering for all ages from young to the older generation and everyone's hairdressing needs. So whether its a trim or a colour, foils or a perm, we can do it no problem.

"Over my 10 years of training I have built up a great clientele list and I really look forward to welcoming both old and new customers to Orchid."

Opening offers include 10% off all colours as well as a free conditioning treatment with a wash, cut and blow dry.

Student discount is also available on production of a student card. And don't forget there's free car parking in Townhead Street nearby.
