Pamper party fun in Ballycastle

The event was only possible with the kind donations from both local businesses and therapists giving their time and expertise free of charge. Over 120 people attended the event and enjoyed beauty therapies such as manicures, nail art, hand massages, make-up, hair styling, Indian head massage, reflexology and homeopathic consultations.

There was even face painting for the little ones and feedback from the day has been amazing, with lots of suggestions that Pamper parties should be a regular event!

The group would like to thank Mc Auley Flowers, Flowers at Anne’s and Ballycastle Garden Centre for the flowers which were beautifully displayed in the hall by Nadia. Thanks also to Celebrations for the balloon displays they kindly made up for the event.

Thanks also to McMullan’s and Mc Caughan’s Chemists for their generous donations of pampering supplies also HillHead garage, Boyle’s Spar and Eurospar who provided refreshments. The following businesses generously donated vouchers which were given as spot prizes at the event; Dalriada Health and Beauty, Flawless and Hair at the Boathouse, also a make over by professional make up artist Bernadette Curran.

Linda Simpson from Beautique salon will be holding an open night in the salon in November with a raffle from which all funds will be generously donated to the Winter Wonderland.

BCDG would like to give special thanks to Louise Brolly who worked hard to organise the event and the following practitioners who so kindly gave up their Saturday - therapists Bronagh Butler, Linda McFarland and Kat Holistics; Lisa Mc Kee who provided Homeopathic consultations. The treatment room was really relaxing and lots stresses and strains were soothed away by the dedicated practitioners.

There were some wonderful hairstyles produced on the day by Gemma Grey, Sinead Reid, Siobhan Mc Gowan and Daniel McKee. Younger girls were particularly fond of the put ups, queuing to get the best look and all left the building looking fabulous.

Fiona Mc Michael produced some talented nail art which was in high demand on the day, backed up by Carrie Walker Harris who also added her personal touch of hand massages helped out by Jodie and Caoimhe from Teen Ballycastle. The finishing touches were provided by make up stylists Katherine Jennings and Kat Bartolovic and everyone was delighted with their transformations.
