Groups interested in finding out how to avail of funding opportunities for community relations work are invited to attend the half-day information session at the Whitehorse Hotel, Campsie, on Wednesday, March 28.
Encouraging organisations to come along to the ‘Find Me Funding’ event, Sue Divin, Community Relations Officer with Derry City Council said: “The purpose of the event is to inform local community and voluntary sector groups of a range of funding opportunities for Community Relations work.

Occasionally community groups may be unaware that some of the work they are doing could be eligible for Community Relations funding. “Equally some groups can be uncertain about what exactly Good Relations work is about or need direction on what to include to develop a successful project relevant to the criteria and there can be issues relating to funding timescales.
“This open information event hopes to provide community and voluntary groups from all backgrounds, all areas of the city and district and all types of organisational focus, to have an opportunity to build knowledge and capacity of good relations funding opportunities.”
The event is free, however interested groups are asked to register in advance. The event commences at 9.45am until 1.45pm and includes lunch.
To register contact [email protected] Tel 07715801508. Places are prioritized to groups based in the Derry City Council area, first come first served and with a maximum of 2 places per group.
