Pedestrian pensioner rushed to hospital after car crashes into Cookstown garden
Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed into a Cookstown garden, injuring a pensioner out walking this afternoon (Tuesday, Oct 18).
A PSNI spokesperson said officers were called to the scene around 3.30pm. A female pensioner, who was in her 70s, was transported to hospital by Northern Ireland Ambulance Service shortly after. A spokesperson for Craigavon Area Hospital, said she is now in a stable condition in hospital. A section of the Church Road was closed for a time following the incident, and the car was still in place in the front garden of a home on the corner of Killymoon Road when the Mail arrived around 5pm.
