All Mid and East Antrim household recycling centres return this week

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has announced all its household recycling centres (HRCs) will be open this week with restrictions in place.

Waveney Road, Ballymena; Redlands, Larne and Sullatober, Carrickfergus, will continue to be open Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Larne South HRC will be open Tuesday and Thursdays, 9am - 5pm.

Glenarm HRC will be open Wednesday and Fridays, 9am - 5pm.

In a statement, council added: “All the usual recycling materials can now be accepted on site (with the exception of soil and rubble).

“Social distancing measures are in place on site, including gate controls to limit car access and householders are required to unload their own waste. This could result in queues at times on sites.

“Cars only will be allowed access, no vans. Cars with trailers of green waste will be allowed access, no vans.”
