Police issue public appeal after Culcavy break-ins

The Area Commander of Lisburn PSNI has asked the public for their help following a spate of break-ins in Culcavy over the past few weeks, in which cash and jewellery were taken when the premises were empty.

PSNI Lisburn Area Commander Chief Inspector John Wilson said: “Up to a dozen break-ins have taken place at different houses in the Culcavy Road area since before Christmas.

“We are appealing for anyone who lives in that area and noticed anything suspicious at any time of the day or night to call us on the non-emergency number 101.

“The criminals responsible for these burglaries may try to sell the jewellery and we would appeal to anyone who is offered jewellery in suspicious circumstances to report it to police.

“Information from the public can lead to the police catching criminals, the recovery of stolen property and ultimately help keep people safe.”
