Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council launches public consultation to improve community services

A Northern Ireland council has launched a public consultation to help improve its community services.

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council (LCCC) has set out a draft on performance improvement objectives to be viewed by ratepayers over the next six weeks. People are also being invited to attend one of three focus meetings in the district to discuss draft proposals for the community.

An LCCC spokesperson said: “Everyone has a valuable contribution to make in shaping our community and we want to hear from you before May 15, 2024.

“Whether you are a local resident, business, community group or work in the statutory or voluntary sector your views are vital to help us shape our service delivery to meet your needs.

“As a council, we strive to work together to deliver better services and improve the lives of Lisburn and Castlereagh residents every day.

“The views of our ratepayers can help us identify what’s important and how we shape our services to best meet local needs.

“Each year, we identify two objectives specifically focused on improving services including customer experience and health.“Sharing your views will let us know if we have focused our improvement efforts in the right areas to improve your experiences with us."

The three focus group events are at Lagan Valley Island (April 29 from 5pm to 7pm), Lagan Valley LeisurePlex (April 30 from 12.30pm to 2.30pm) and Castlereagh Hills Golf Club (May 2 from 12.30pm to 2.30pm).
