£6 of stolen petrol ends up costing Dungannon man £150 in fine
The theft of £6 worth of fuel from a filling station has resulted in a costly court appearance for a Dungannon man.
Eoghan McKillion, 35, from Killyman Road in the town, pleaded guilty to the offence when his case was heard at the local Magistrates Court.
The court was told police were made aware of a “drive off” offence at Ranfurly Service Station on July 30.

Hide AdThe value of the fuel was £6, the court heard, and no attempt was made by the defendant to pay for the petrol.
McKillion’s lawyer said he had made full restitution in respect of the matter.
A fine of £150 was imposed.
