‘Raise the Roof for Uganda’

Knockahollet Primary pupil Ruth Lowry is just one member of the Raise the Roof Kids Choir which brings together children and young people of all ages, backgrounds and denominations, is in the final rehearsal stage as it gears up to light up Ballymena North’s Business & Recreation Centre with two consecutive nights of music, drama and percussion starting on Friday 14th June.

Ruth and the big-hearted group, which is the brainchild of experienced local musician Alyson Reid, travel regularly across Northern Ireland aboard a hard-to-ignore bright yellow double-decker bus as part of its mission to raise £60,000 to build a much-needed new school to help educate vulnerable children in Uganda. The concert will take place on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June in Ballymena North.
