Redpath welcomes Culcavyfootpath improvements

Councillor Alexander Redpath has welcomed an announcement by Road Service that improvements will be made to footpaths at Coachman’s Way, Culcavy.

The footpaths are to be treated with cold asphalt overlay footways which is a form of resurfacing. Speaking on the announcement Mr Redpath commented: “During my election campaign the state of the footpaths at Coachman’s way were raised by a number of residents. Having walked these footpaths myself on several occasions whilst canvassing I can attest to their poor condition in places. I commend Road Service on their recognition of the state of the footpaths and the welcome the fact that the improvements have now been timetabled and should be delivered in the next few months.

Culcavy is an active community and many members of the community make good use of local footpaths as an alternative to their cars.

In their Spring Report the Road Service also announced resurfacing works for footpaths serving Dill Avenue, Hillhall Estate, Kesh Road, Pond Park Cresent, Ballybog Road and Hornbeam Road.
