Samaritans celebrate 40 years
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Samaritans’ continuous service in Craigavon.
Throughout the past 40 years, volunteers have been recruited from Craigavon, Banbridge, Dungannon, Armagh and further afield. The branch, based in Portadown, has no paid staff and volunteers donate their time to listen and provide 24 hour support for people in distress.
To mark 40 years, Craigavon Samaritans are inviting volunteers past and present to a gala dinner and dance on 23 October at Craigavon Civic Centre. The event is also open to members of the public, and you can email [email protected] for information.
The Samaritans would be grateful of monetary donations, raffle prizes or any other contributions.
