Show your support for Marie Curie in Mid Ulster with the Great Daffodil Appeal

They took the opportunity to meet local staff and hear about the work of the charity that provides care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families across Mid Ulster and Tyrone.

The Great Daffodil Appeal is Marie Curie’s biggest fundraiser, which encourages everyone to volunteer to fundraise for the charity at home and at work or to give a donation and wear a daffodil pin in March. The money raised will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to local people with terminal illnesses in their own homes and in the Belfast Hospice.

Commenting, Councillor Dillon said: “I’ve always been a strong supporter of Marie Curie and I am pleased to lend my support to this year’s daffodil appeal.

“The work Marie Curie do with patients who have cancer and other terminal illness is extremely important, not only for the individual but also their family and friends.”

Councillor Ashton also lent her support to the campaign.

“It is a privilege to help launch this year’s Appeal,” she said.

“At a very difficult time Marie Curie’s caring and professional support is immense and I know many people across Mid Ulster will be supporting this appeal to raise funds for Marie Curie.”
