Kieran Austin, principal of St Nicholas’ PS, said: “We are truly blessed with a beautifully designed and maintained school building.

“The natural light and vibrant colour scheme provide a superb learning environment and it’s such a delight to see our children flourish and develop in this setting.

“My vision for the next twenty years is that we continue to grow our happy, inclusive environment, where all are welcome and encouraged to be the best that they can be.”

The anniversary magazine traces the origins of the school back to Mount Saint Nicholas’ National School which opened in 1871. It stood where the car park is now.
