Thousands raised for Hope House during memorial cycle race
A total of 271 people took part in the event on Sunday, December 27, following a 20-mile route around Islandmagee.
Stuart was playing his first match for the club in September 2013 when he collapsed.

Hide AdThe 25-year-old received medical attention at the scene, but sadly he could not be revived.
A total of £3000 raised during this year’s race will go towards Whitehead-based charity Hope House.
Founded in late 2013 year by local woman Dawn McConnell and her husband Roy, Hope House allows those who are going through a cancer diagnosis the use of a fully furnished, two bedroom apartment, free of charge.
The respite service is based at the seafront in the village.
Commenting on the event, race organiser Noel McKee said: “A huge thank you to all who came along and walked, ran and cycled. Great community event for an excellent local cause.”
