Clear Tec enables to significantly reduce C02 emissions to 119g/km and also drastically cutting fuel consumption to 5litres/100km (56.5mpg) on the Combined cycle.

This reduction is achieved by equipping the Colt ClearTec with our newest eco friendly solutions, including Auto Stop & Go, an alternator which recharges the battery while decelerating or braking, low rolling resistance tyres, optimised final drive gear ratio and low viscosity engine oil. All of these factors make the Colt ClearTec one of the cleanest and most fuel-efficient petrol cars in its segment.

As part of the ClearTec technologies, the Auto Stop & Go (AS&G), system enables the engine to stop automatically as soon as sthe car is stationary at road junctions or in congested traffic, the gearshift is in neutral position and the drivers foot is off the clutch pedal. The car restarts automatically when the driver presses the clutch again to engage a gear.
