Two shocks as Social and Soldierstown fall

THERE were two major shocks in Section A of the Roy Kennedy Fuels Indoor Bowling League when Derriaghy beat Hillsborough Social and Soldierstown fell away to Priesthill.

Derriaghy travelled to Hillsborough to win by six shots, coming back from six shots down at the break to win by six shots. Priesthill had 11 shots to spare against Soldierstown.

The other Section A result could also be viewed with slight surprise. Eglantine won by 14 shots at home to St Paul’s.
