Flute and accordion bands bid for £18k
The Pride of Orange and Blue Auld Boys Flute Band (£5,000), William King Memorial Band (£4,988), Killaloo Accordion Band (£4,920) and Craigbane Accordion Band (£3,374) applied for £18,282 for the purchase of musical instruments.
Local boxing clubs applied for £621,510 under the boxing investment programme. Eglinton Amateur Boxing Club applied for £18,816 whilst Rochester’s Amateur Boxing Club applied for £54,685.

Hide AdOn the cityside St Joseph’s Amateur Boxing Club applied for £221,241, whilst Springtown Boxing Club applied for £217,304.
There were also several applications for capital funding for public art, including £50,000 for Artichoke’s ‘Stitch in Time’ installation atop the Rosemount factory; and £30,000 for Eamon O’Doherty’s ‘Armoured Pram.’
The Holywell Trust also bid for £73,500 for a piece of public art in Bishop Street; and the Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) bid for £12,000 for six temporary public artworks.
