Upgrades for local Clanmil schemes

Clanmil Housing Group has just completed a major programme of improvements at its housing schemes for older people in Portrush and Coleraine.

At Abercorn Court in Portrush, just over £400,000 has been invested in modern new kitchens in 37 apartments and 8 bungalows at the scheme.

While at Hezlet Court in Coleraine, which provides 31 apartments for older people, £91,000 has been spent replacing all of the external windows and doors at the scheme. The upgrades are part of a major five year maintenance programme that will see over £8 million invested in Clanmil’s properties throughout Northern Ireland. Tenants at Abercorn Court were given a choice of a range of kitchen designs allowing them to choose out their own style of cupboards, work tops and handles.

Adrian Redmond of Clanmil said: “In the past year we’ve invested £4.2m in improving and redecorating our homes.”
