The host band will parade from the Royal British Legion at 7pm around the town to the War Memorial for a wreath laying service.

The main parade will begin at 7.30pm from the starting point in Shearf Drive and proceed the normal route through the town centre where it will finish in Union Street beside the Royal British Legion.

Organisers would appeal to all families to come out in support of the parade and enjoy a showcase event with various types of marching bands on display.

A spokesman said: “This parade is sure to be a great night and we expect around 40 bands from across Ulster to attend. The band supports the PSNI in a zero tolerance approach to alcohol during the parade and have worked hard to create a family friendly event.

“If you wish to join the band why not come along to our practices each Monday night from 7pm to 9pm in Brownlow House, we are currently recruiting fluters and full tuition will be given.”
