Woman injured by flying glass in Carrick tunnel incident
Police are appealing for a female witness to come forward in relation to an incident at the tunnel at St Bride’s Street, Carrickfergus, on November 29.
According to the PSNI, youths were smashing bottles in the tunnel and when challenged by a female passerby, one of the males threw a bottle at the woman’s head causing it to smash against a wall with the flying glass injuring her.
The male then proceeded to run to the Costcutter store on North Road before being challenged and making off.
Appealing for information about the incident which occurred around 8.15pm, police added that further displays of anti-social behaviour of this type should be reported to them.
