Woman lifted in Clooney and charged with Newtownstewart burglary and gun possession
A woman, aged 38, arrested in the Clooney area of Londonderry and charged with burglary and possession of a firearm is to appear at Londonderry Magistrates' Court this morning (Wednesday).
She was arrested following a police operation in the Clooney area of the city on Tuesday, during which a police helicopter was deployed.
The charges relate to an incident alleged to have occurred in Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone, at the weekend.
As is normal practice, the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
