Woman threatened with knife by man

She was walking at Stephens Court Ballymagroarty area when approached. The man held a knife towards her throat and made threats to her. He was with another man.

Constable Armstrong, the investigating officer, said the second man was not involved in the incident but was present at the time.

“This assault occurred in the vicinity of a mobile shop in a residential area and so there is a possibility that there were other people in the area at the time or immediately before or after,” she said.

“We would like anyone who saw the incident, or has any information about it, to contact us on 101, or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
