Woman treated for smoke inhalation

A 20-year-old woman was treated for mild smoke inhalation and taken to hospital by ambulance following a fire at a flat at Drumbeg Drive, last Tuesday.

The incident occured at 11.17am.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet and a covering jet to extinguish the blaze.

Crews administered oxygen therapy to the woman at the scene and she was later taken to hospital.

A smoke alarm was sounding at the time of call.

Fire crews from both the Lisburn and the Cadogan stations attended the serious incident.
