Workshop to gauge health concerns over new road

A SERIES of workshops will be held in Drumahoe, Strathfoyle and Dungiven next week to discuss residents' concerns over the potential health impacts of a new road dissecting North County Londonderry.

The Health Impact Assessment Workshops will be held by the Roads Service to allow people have their say on the new A6 Londonderry to Dungiven dualling project.

They are being held "to find out the community's health concerns about construction and operation of the new road.

The workshops will be held in the Owenbeg GAA Centre of Excellence, 471 Glenshane Road, Dungiven, on Tuesday, September 28, 7.30pm to 9.30pm; YMCA, 51 Glenshane Road, Drumahoe, on Wednesday, September 29, 7.30pm to 9.30pm; and the North West Teachers' Centre, Temple Road, Strathfoyle, on Thursday, September 30, 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
