Anna takes part in athletics finals
CITY of Lisburn Athletics Club member Anna McIlmoyle travelled to Manchester recently to represent the club at the McCain Young Athlete League Finals.
Anna, 16, finished second in the Under 17 High Jump at her first major team competition.
Anna said: “It was a good experience, with everyone bonding together as a club. It was a really good event for the younger members especially.”
Anna, who also competes in the heptathlon - and counts Olympic Gold medallist Jessica Ennis as an inspiration - hopes to continue with sports to compete at all levels.
