Locals strike gold
Three members from Lisburn Taekwondo club recently formed part of the Northern Ireland squad who travelled to Denmark for the Copenhagen Taekwondo open championships held in the Rodovre Stadionhal on September 6.
This was the first International competition outside the United Kingdom for Emily and Amy but both girls along with the rest of the Northern Ireland squad performed extremely well picking up medals for the club.
The competition had players from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Northern Ireland and Germany. Emily & Amy along with Grace won Gold in their team event making them Northern Ireland, British national, Scottish International and Copenhagen international current champions.
