Club cycling hits the streets of Dromore

Club cycling takes to the streets of Dromore this weekend in the second open race to be promoted by Banbridge CC this season.

The John Beggs Cup and the Sean McGreevy Cup is on this Saturday, starting at 12 noon. Four races are scheduled with A1s and A2s together, separate races for A3s and A4’s and a joint Masters 50+ and Ladies race.

Race HQ this year is at Dromore Rugby Club, much appreciated by Banbridge CC, and the start is on the Ballynahinch Road in Dromore.

A full field of 80 riders is expected in the A3 and A4 race and of course the Banbridge CC Masters50+ team, who have had notable success this season so far, will be in action. It is a good opportunity for local people interested in the cycling scene to enjoy the spectacle of a road race meeting close to home.

As usual, all members not competing are invited to assist in any way they can, by volunteering for marshalling / driving duties or assisting with the catering arrangements.

Lets hope for some sunshine and a safe race for everyone.
