Put in to bat, Lisburn’s opening partnership of Michael Glass (67) and Nathan Doak (80 not out) put CSNI to the sword with some outstanding batting.

Nathan has now hit five unbeaten fifties in a row at U13 level and this innings was as good as any of them, with his ability to accelerate the scoring particularly impressive for such a young player.

Lisburn ended on 167 for 1 after their 20 overs.

Jude Postlethwaite took the new ball and a double wicket maiden in his second over effectively ended the contest when he removed CNSI’s top two batsmen.

Cameron Doak’s bowling has developed hugely this season and he ripped through the middle order taking 3 wickets for 3 runs as CNSI subsided to 51 all out.

The team now play favourites Instonians in the final on Wednesday 29th July at Wallace Park.

Lisburn CC U13s comfortably beat Waringstown in the league to maintain their drive to get into the league final later in the season.

Conor Blair and Joel Wiseman helped restrict Waringstown to 84 ensuring Lisburn won by 51 runs.
