Video: Lisburn legends recall dramatic period in club’s history
and live on Freeview channel 276
Uel Graham, Neil Doak and Derek Heasley discuss a dramatic period in the club’s history, as Lisburn won the Section One title twice in the space four years. The first saw of the most controversial finales to a league campaign in history in 1993 as Downpatrick made no attempt to beat Waringstown at The Lawn, denying the villagers the title on the bonus points system with Lisburn crowned champions. Lisburn also shared the title with Cliftonville three years later after just losing out to the Greenisland side in 1995.
All three men also recall their memories of arguably the finest NCU Challenge Cup final of recent decades, the tied two-innings showpiece against North Down in 1994.
