'Dudey' defence build-up continues

THE build-up to Paul McCloskey's second defence of his European crown will continue today as the Dungiven pugilist has invited the media to attend a training session at Breen's Gym in Belfast.

Pundits and commentators will get the chance to evaulate McCloskey's training progress as he gears up to face Scotland's Barry Morrison at Letterkenny on October 2.

It is expected that as ever McCloskey's gruelling dedication to fitness and training will see him easily defeat the Scottish challenger in just over two weeks time.

Some doubts were cast over McCloskey's blemishless record in his first defence against Guiseppe Lauri, but that hard fought for win could be atrributed to ring rustiness more than the Italian's ability. A win against Morrison may well see 'Dudey' get a world title shot.
