Fantastic week for Lisnagarvey as locals secure two superb victories

Lisnagarvey had a great week in NIBA Division One, taking all seven points at Divis on Tuesday and following up with six against Bangor at Warren Gardens on Saturday.

Garvey have lifted 20 points from a possible 21 in their last three matches and the performance has seen them dramatically climb the League table.

The game was nip and tuck throughout, but it was Garvey who finished better to win by eight shots.

Ahead

At the tenth Davy Boal was 10-7 ahead, but five ends later he was 11-12 down, but threes at 17 and 19 ends saw him home by four shots.

After starting with a three Philip Cromie was 12-7 up at the tenth and another three gave Garvey a 19-12 lead at 15 ends. It was 21-13 at 17 ends and though Bangor came back Garvey won by three shots.

Closing

Down 7-9 at the tenth and 10-14 at 12 ends Noel Graham was 12-17 down at 19 ends but pulled back three shots over the closing two ends.

Lifting three but dropping five Keith Morrison was 10-13 down at the tenth, but pulled back to 16-17 five ends later. Garvey were 19-20 down with an end left but lifted a decisive four.
