FOOTBALL: Coleraine to play DC in next round of Cup

Coleraine will face Donegal Celtic in the next round of the Co-Operative Insurance Cup.

The draw for Round Three of the 2010 / 2011 Co-operative Insurance Cup was made on Wednesday at the Irish FA Headquarters.

The draw made by Patrick Nelson, Chief Executive of the IFA and Harry Fitzpatrick, Financial Adviser with The Co-operative Insurance, will see 2009/2010 winners and current Premiership leaders Glentoran taking on Premiership bottom club Dungannon Swifts, with beaten finalists Coleraine facing Donegal Celtic.

Linfield will face a tough trip to Newry City, Glenavon host Cliftonville with IFA Championship side Institute taking on Lisburn Distillery.

Fellow IFA Championship sides Ards, Loughgall and Carrick Rangers will face daunting trips to Ballymena United, Crusaders and Portadown, respectively.

Hugh Wade, Chairman of the IFA Premiership Management Committee, said: "The ties in the 2nd Round produced an unbelievable 76 goals from 16 games including two penalty shootouts, which is fantastic entertainment for the fans.

"With this draw again throwing up some interesting ties, fans are hopefully in for another round of exciting football."

The Co-operative Insurance Cup Round Four matches will be played on Saturday 4th December with the Semi-Finals to be contested on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd February.

The Co-operative Insurance Cup Final is scheduled to take place on Saturday 2nd April.
