Trailing to a Vinny Faherty goal, the Brandywell men levelled things just after the half-hour mark when Rory Patterson side footed home from the penalty spot, after Mark Rossiter had pushed Michael Rafter inside the box.
A stunning Barry McNamee 20 yard drive gave City the lead on 56 minutes before Patterson netting his eighth goal of the campaign again from the penalty spot, after John Sullivan blocked Barry Molloy’s goal bound shot with his hand inside the box.
