Elsewhere it was heartbreak for Uel Magill’s U10s United team who lost their Plate Final on the golden goals rule, with Dungiven Celtic scoring the all important goal in injury time after the match had ended 0-0 in normal time.

Afterwards the manager stated “This young squad have taken a massive step forward since the winter break and their continuing development is clear for all to see. Each of the boys should be very proud of their achievements, and today’s place in the Plate Final is all down to their hard work in training”

The Club was also well represented at the McDonalds Mini Soccer tournament at the Showgrounds on Saturday with two teams at the P2 age group and two teams at the P3 age group.

In a busy week for the Club, both of Ally McGarry’s U8 teams were again in action on Friday night, when they travelled to Ballymoney to play in the IFA sponsored small sided games tournament against the host club as well as Coleraine and Ballymena United.
