Under 13’s back in action

The Lisburn Youth Under 13 boys were back in action against Lurgan Town and had an impressive start to the game, setting a very high tempo.

A lot of success came initially down Lisburn Youth’s right hand side and instrumental in this, was midfielder Niall Richmond.

Despite the vast amounts of pressure applied, Lisburn Youth just couldn’t find the simple finish necessary to take the lead.

Salvijus Bucys unlucky, with a strike hitting both posts worthy of note.

With Lurgan Town’s first real attack they took the lead. The long ball wasn’t dealt with and Lurgan’s pacey forward capitalised.

A second, very similar goal was a big blow to the Lisburn Youth side.

A response was needed and Niall Richmond got a little bit of luck with a cross to find the back of the net.

The second half was very similar to the first, with chance after chance, clearance off the line after clearance off the line.

Lisburn Youth’s dominance in possession was not enough after the defence was caught out again leaving keeper Aiden Frazer with very little chance to rescue the side.

The result was disappointing for all Lisburn Youth supporters as Lisburn were on top in possession and chances.
