GAA: Cookstown boys lose to experienced Patrician High
Man of the match David Garland, who scored 1-8, led the Monaghan team by example and the valiant Cookstown side could do nothing to thwart his threat.
With a goal from Andrew Woods, the Monaghan team led 1-7 to 0-6 at the break but could have been further in front, since Holy Trinity got the last three scores of the half, two from James Devlin and one by Conan McLernon to get themselves back into contention.

Holy Trinity responded with points from Mulgrew, McLernon and Devlin but, with Garland constantly scoring, Patrician High were always comfortable.
