This was another feisty affair with several yellow cards brandished in a competitive first half with Drumaness taking a 1-0 into half time despite Lauren Thompson rattling the outside of the post from distance.

In the second half Banbridge Rangers started to play some better football keeping Drumaness under sustained pressure with winger Becky Thompson heading the ball back across goal from a cross to set up sister Lauren Thompson who was on hand to tap in the equaliser.

Drumaness Mills regained their lead on seventy minutes when a quick counter attack saw their young striker go one on one with stand in keeper Robinson who was unable to do anything with the curling shot from the edge of the area. Banbridge Rangers were eager to find a second equaliser but as the clock headed for full time it looked like no chances would fall the way of Rangers.

A throw in deep in the Drumaness Mills half was hooked into the box two minutes into stoppage time and Becky Thompson rose highest again to head onto the six yard line where Lauren Thompson was on hand to sweep home her twelfth goal of the season and celebrate another fine assist from her little sister.

The Ladies team were buoyant after the draw and deserve a lot of credit for battling their way through the game and taking a point off one of the teams challenging for the league title.

Banbridge Rangers Ladies return to action on Thursday June 28 when they host Carmoney Ladies at Cheney Park with kick off at 8pm.
