Bernadette’s steady round earns her victory
On her front nine Bernadette kept her golf tidy and avoided any disasters and then on the tenth she produced a birdie three followed by a three at twelve and at seventeen.
The gross went to Christine Hagan with a gross 83. Christine must still be on a bit of a high as she was the player to sink the winning putt at the weekend for the Junior Cup team to win the Ulster Championship and those who were present will never forget her celebration.

Unfortunately the excitement must have got to her a bit and she dropped a few shots on the way in but a lovely card nonetheless, featuring the only two of the day.
Section two went to Maeve McKavanagh with a nett 74 ,just beating Georgie Hogan on the better back nine. Maeve’s game was a game of two halves with the par threes spoiling her on the front nine but then scoring two pars on the par threes on the back nine boosting her card. Maeve is showing great promise and surely there will be a few team captains chasing her for teams next year.
Section three went to Amanda Lyness with a nett 74. Amanda has also been very subdued this year and it’s great to see her return to form.
A stroke competition can be a real killer and unfortunately Amanda had a few disasters but did well to hang on to win her prize. The nine hole winner was Sally Hayes.
