WITH a rapidly drying course and improving conditions underfoot Kelvin Shields narrowly won last weekend’s Mary Deeny’s Open at Redcastle Golf Club.

Forty points seems to have been a popular score with Shields winning with after a break of tie finish.

Second place also after a BOT finish with 40 points was Seamus McGeehan and Willie Watson claimed third place again following a BOT finish after he too finished with 40 points.

Kris McClelland won the gross prize with 30 gross points. JK Doherty claimed the front nine prize after a BOT finish after he scored 21 points and G Doherty claimed the back nine accolade also after BOT finish when he scored 21 points.
