In reaching the final the Chambers paring defeated Kathleen Hutton and Andy Meenaghaa and the Quigg Heywood partnership overcame Anne Hamilton and Cormac McGeady on the semi-finals.
The traditional Plate competition takes place on this coming Sunday and Tee times can be booked
through the Pro Shop at City of Derry GC.
Meanwhile at Faughan Valley, Stephen Robb (19) pipped Niall McTaggart (17) to Saturday’s Monthly Medal stroke play competition.

Hide AdThe fourball better ball competition on Sunday, was claimed by Barney O’Connor and Thomas Parkhill who finished with 42 points, second was Eoghan T Brolly and Martin Carlin who scored 41 points and John Kelly and Conrad Carlin were third after they scored 40 points.
This week’s Open stableford competition at Faughan Valley, which is sponsored by James O’Hara Motors, takes place on Saturday and Sunday and there will be a time-sheet in operation.
