Paula shot 69 69 77 (7 under par) with a birdie at the second play-off hole to take the title.

60 student golfers took to the Eden Course for 36 holes on Monday followed by Tuesday’s 18 hole final on the Old Course.

Paula’s putt lipped out on the 18th green on the Old Course in regulation play to find herself in a sudden-death play-off with Stirling’s Eilidh Briggs.

Back to the 18th for the second play-off hole, Paula hit her approach to five feet and cooly slotted the putt for birdie to successfully defend her title.

“This tournament has definitely been good to me,” said Paula, who played the Old Course for the first time when she won in 2013 as a first-year student. “I was just over the moon when I won it the first time, and I really wanted to come back here again and prove myself, and it feels unbelievable to have won it two years in a row.”

The 20-year-old followed up her 2013 victory with a win at the Irish Ladies Close Championship at Ballybunion last June.

She will now be awarded a starting place in a Ladies European Tour event in 2014.

This victory comes a week after Paula shot a record 8 under par round of 68 at Royal Couty Down in the Scratch Salver.

Paula will compete this weekend in the Welsh Ladies Strokeplay at Prestatyn in north Wales. Practice will take place on Friday, 36 holes will be played on Saturday before the cut, should Paula make the cut she will take place in the 18 hole finale on Sunday.
